Project Kulture brings artists and dance floors together through underground music, with South Asian culture at its heart.
Our roots shape our perspective. They don’t decide who belongs in the room. Kulture is for people who come curious, listen closely and give something back to the dance floor.
We’re here for individual sound and raw energy: the unexpected transition, the track you need to ask about, the moment a room of strangers moves together. Unapologetically loud. Human at the centre.
Project Kulture is Vodka’s baby, bringing his love of music, his South Asian roots and the people around him into the same room.
Born in Amritsar and based in Toronto, Vodka’s taste moves through hip hop, R&B, UK garage, jungle, drum and bass, grime and baile funk. Hearing artists experiment across these sounds inspired him to build a space where fresh ideas could find a crowd.
Kulture carries those South Asian roots with an open invitation to artists and listeners from everywhere. The ambition is to bring that creativity and energy to dance floors around the world, giving DJs freedom to express themselves and people a place to discover, dance and feel they belong.
That curiosity continues beyond the night. Recordings and photographs preserve the moments, while the guides and Kulture Lab give anyone a chance to explore a sound and make something of their own.
For Vodka, it starts with the music and grows through the people who show up.

South Asian identity is a starting point for discovery. From jungle and UK garage to drum & bass, grime and baile funk, we follow the connections between sounds. There’s room for heritage, experimentation and something you’ve never heard before.

People before the hype.
A good night is something we make together. Give people space, respect boundaries and look out for the person next to you. Ask before filming someone up close. Come with friends; leave knowing a few more.

Let the artist speak.
We want DJs to bring their own taste and take the room somewhere. We look for thoughtful selection, a point of view and the instinct to connect with people. The sound should feel like you.
We want Kulture to keep growing without losing the feeling of being in the room together.
The plan is to make space for more artists, bring more people into the community and document the sets that deserve to live beyond one night. A growing archive means the music can reach you wherever you are.
We’re interested in collaborators who share that approach: artists with something to say, venues that care about the dance floor, and people who want to help build a welcoming space around the music.
These are the ambitions we’re working towards. The people who join us will help shape what comes next.
